"At the start of every session, breathing exercises were most helpful. I liked how the facility educated patients and myself on the disease of addiction. Especially how the facility went/proceeded unto the depths of the mental issues (part). The program great material on coping skills/tools. The program also encouraged patients as myself to attend AA/NA as well. I strongly/definitely think more hours/days should be available, since the program is new I hope to see this in the future. It definitely was a great learning experience."

"OMG, I so love the groups discussions, group therapy, the staff members. The one to one sessions are magnificent. I also loved the treatment and session with Dr. Robert the chiropractor. I would not change anything about the program. "

" I honestly have to say, the Program and the Staff members at North Star are amazing. The program has helped me in so many areas. I am glad I was able to be a part of this group and facility. The only thing I would change would be. Have more open groups days/nights. "

"How engaging the staff and counselors are, both involving mental and financial situations."

"I truly enjoy how the program operates as a group: the topics discussed as the counselors/staff explain the depth of the topic and how to pertain to ourselves. We are free to express ourselves and are encouraged to always be truthful, which assisted me into taking a good look at myself, which I will continue to do on this ongoing journey. The staff has truly been prudent to my recovery process. Personally the program has assisted me so much just the way it operates, how in a variety of ways: how my perspective, my actions, deep reflection of myself, and overall better focus I would not change anything at all about this awesome program!"

"The counselors really do care, this isn’t just a job for them. The group always made me feel comfortable enough to share my addiction experiences. I always felt safe opening up. I also enjoyed the one to one sessions as well."

"OMG, where do I start, I so enjoyed everything about the program. The way the staff and counselors treated us, they showed so much passion, care and understanding. The program was really good. I would personally like to continue if allowed to."
"I liked every single thing about the program. I would not change a thing. I learned how to use the many tools that are available, as well as cope with the cravings and urges. I learned that I have a disease and that as long as I used my tools I would be able to ok. It will be a sad moment for me when I get discharged, but I do look forward to returning to the Graduate Group."

"I enjoyed that I was able to freely express my feelings among people that have and are going through similar situations as myself. I really enjoyed the program and the tools it provided me. I was surprised at how comfortable I felt the entire time I attended the group sessions. The Counselor is a very caring person and easy to talk to. Thank you for allowing me to share my situation and learn from others as well."

"The counselors, how it was run, encouragement, interaction. Learned a lot without being preached to. Made for a comfortable learning experience. What I would change about the program: Dive deep into certain topics, start program on time in the beginning and at break times."

"Group sessions facility is nice, counselor Mike has a knowledgeable understanding of the 12 step programs. What I would change about the program: Allow counselors to interact with clients outside the program."
